Turkish Figs – Fruit for the Soul
Figs are one of the most underrated fruits. Most people have never eaten or seen them. You can probably find them at your local health food store if they carry bulk items like nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. I’m a big fan of dried Turkish Figs because they are tasty, look badass, and are very alkaline.
Move aside Pomegrante… Figs look like they are from an alien planet, too.

Megadosing Vitamin C – A Guide
I’m sure you’ve heard a lot about “Vitamin C” in the news. You probably don’t remember much other than it helps fight colds and keeps your immune system healthy. That’s a good start but it does a whole crap load of other stuff, too. More than half of early sailors explorers during times of Columbus died from a lack of Vitamin C due to “Scurvy”. I’m sure you’ve used it in a least a few Pirate jokes before. Scurvy isn’t much of an issue anymore because we have a diverse range of food at our disposal. Only if those sailors had Sunny D to take along on their trips – everything would have been OK.
